Our Core Volunteers
Greg and Barbara Bertling founded Fallston Animal Rescue Movement (FARM) in 2000. Their goal was to save one animal at a time, but that quickly changed when they realized how many animals needed their help. Within 2 years they had both quit their day jobs and opened the Feed Plus store, which provides quality pet food and supplies, and houses FARM’s adoption events each weekend.
Tami is our longest standing volunteer and has been volunteering with FARM since 2008. She is a generous soul and will help any human or animal in need. She can’t resist a special needs dog.
Jim has been with FARM since 2008. He is responsible for all the great photos and for managing our Facebook page.
Sue is our cat whisperer. When Sue appears, all cats come out of hiding in anticipation of their one on one time. She is a professional Graphic Designer and lends her talents to some of our marketing materials.
Candy started volunteering in 2009 after she adopted a dog from FARM. She realized that fostering dogs was a great way to help save additional lives. Her kryptonite are tiny, biting chihuahuas.
JT started volunteering after adopting his beloved beagle from FARM in 2010. He takes care of most of our transports and is an amazing dog walker.
Candia started volunteering in 2013 and quickly became an integral part of the team. She has a huge heart and soft spot for sad stories and pathetic faces.
Kelly is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She started volunteering in 2015 and advises on animal behavioral issues and integration into a new home. She cannot resist any dog!
